It's an unorthodox but very compelling arrangement. The instrumentation has a certain classic quality to it that I really like, and the melody is nice. If anything I might call it... well, not exactly repetitive, but it could use a little bit more variety. Still, you're off to a great start with your work, so it seems, so keep it up!

You've got great ideas and you know how to make them flow. It sounds like the main problem is with your samples. I'd recommend investing in a program with a bit more punch to it, maybe like FL Studio, or else some higher-quality samples for the platform you use.

Thanks man, always good to get good feedback. Like I've said to others, I'm afraid, my rare linux distribution supports practically...nothing. I was very lucky to find the software I use, and have found nothing else since. Accordingly, I have wasted a LOT of time and lost a LOT of hair trying to find good synths and samples that support the ridiculously unsupportive .BSE format, and these are examples of them. But I will keep it up, and thanks again.

Haha, you know, it kind of reminds me of the waterfall theme from Donkey Kong Country 3... but much, much cooler.

Not your best work, and you can tell it was done in more of a hurry than some of your others, but still very upbeat, intense and lively! Easy to enjoy, the melody is excellent, and you've got some great beats and sample choices going on here - I like the little blippy melodic backgrounds working behind the scenes, they add a very nice layer, and I like what you've done with the bass. Overall, very nice, very nice!

Commentary (and bear in mind I have not heard the original): I liked the drum work, but more percussion and a lower form of percussion would probably have been a good idea - the song feels like it's missing something on the lower end. However, everything on the upper has been very well done, your choices of samples were not too overpowering nor were they overly difficult to listen to, and they certainly sound in place. The lower string I might have done something with, but it's nothing drastic.

I'm going to try something original next.. I've been playing with something, but I need to wait a till tuesday or wednesday before I can even start again.
