Not bad.

Very short, but not bad at all. I like the ambient feel.

Your instruments (particularly the sax) are very midi.. try changing them up a bit and adding samples with a little more authenticity to them.

All in all, not bad, just make your next one a fair bit longer - this one felt unfinished.

Cheers! :)

Ty, I think its ok, but I really didn't have much to go on. I love the bass though, I think it brings it a more hip hoppy ness to it, but perhaps not add the sax at all? IDK

Wheee!

Baaaahaha! I love it! Honestly, I couldn't listen to this with a straight face! I kept smiling, no matter how many times I tried to wipe it off my face. :P

Cheers to a fellow artist!

ChronoDestiny responds:

Can you help this song get some credit? XD So far, there are only 3 votes...

Thanks, btw. ;D

Injustice.

How the dude who got to this before me could have voted 0 on this... I don't know what he's on. This is very intriguing, far more original than anything else around lately, and I like it. A lot.

Keep it up, dude. You've got an interesting repertoire going with this one.

Tiredguy responds:

Thanks, man. Yeah, it seems like there's always at least one guy who seems to vote 0 no matter what he's listening to.

Thanks a lot for the encouragement.

Excellent!

Well, I'm glad you reviewed mine because I might not have found my way to this otherwise.

Let's be friends. :)

EliteFerrex responds:

Hahaha, sure thing.

Very nice. :)

Very nice indeed. It has a very innocent-yet-not-so-innocent feel to it. I like that.

One thing I'd watch for: the samples you used have a very midi-like quality to them which I guess some people may like, but personally it takes away from the feel in my mind. Also, the ending is somewhat abrupt. There's a long moment of silence at the end, but I'm not marking down your score for that.

Swell, man. Swell indeed. Keep it up!

i agree, i'll have to have another shot at this one at some point.

Thanks for the review fella. :)

Consider your request granted

It's not bad, but there are two major things sticking out at me about it:

1) it's very repetitive (although I will soon be listening to it again on better quality speakers, so that may or may not be true).
2) You've got the beginning notes of the sequence wrong (whether or not you've done it on purpose, I really have no way of knowing) and no matter how much I try to like the change, it just glares at me.

Otherwise, not bad! And thanks for your review on mine.

ganon95 responds:

thanks for the review!

yea, the begin. notes were a little off when i first made the song so i had to change them to make them fit in with the song.

Nicely done!

Well met, Daniel old friend. Your work is coming together nicely. All you need to do now is balance your bass out and throw in a few more variations on melody. You're off to a great start!

Thanks. Your always there to encourage me.
I'll see what I can do. Perhaps We'll talk later on that matter.

Aha! Took the review virginity!

Very, VERY nice. I am quite impressed. VEry good ambient feel, but my one real critique is that (to be fair, I don't know the song) it sounded very repetitive. Try and give your next mix some variation.

But overall, brilliant job, man!

9/10, 4/5

Ukobacho responds:

thxs i'll be sure to do that next time^^

Definitely praise-worthy!

You nailed the melody parts and you have some nice layering in there. And I like the bass part.

Future work: try adding more layers, and try not to push the bass too low to the point where the notes aren't recognizable. Play with pitch (higher, lower, yadda yadda).

But very nicely done, friend. :)

verin100 responds:

Thanks. I'll keep that in mind for the next one.

Very nice, Lord Dan. :)

I give this a 9/10 and a 4/5 because that's a HELL of a long way you've come with FL since last we spoke. I like this a lot! And you'll have to tell me what samples you used, I'm eager to have these sorts of effects around my stuff - sure I can do certain things, but I have yet to capture the ambiance that yours has.

Meanwhile, next steps: you need more volume on your guitar samples. The background is excellent, but the main melody needs to ring out a bit more.

Nicely done, my friend. And don't give people false hope about my mix, just in case it's a flop. :P

verin100 responds:

Your mix will be great.
Yes I am a fast learner, and I'll let you know the samples I use when I speak with you next. I was wondering about the volume, but to be honest, if I had the main melody up any higher, you couldn't hear the background melody, which happens to be my favourite part.

I'm Kyle, amateur mixer. My work is based mostly on games, though I dip in and out of originality as a break every so often. Mixing is my primary way to waste time, but I write plenty of fan fiction as well, which is available at the website below. :-)
